I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy. My areas of expertise include treatments for anxiety, depression, trauma, life stress, race-based stress, and adjustment concerns. I have extensive training in various evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), mindfulness practice, and coping skills training. Additionally, as a therapist of color, I am invested in helping clients of color navigate race-based stress and building resilience in the face of this stress.

As a therapist, I believe that increasing awareness of the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is a cornerstone of effective therapy. I also believe that the social context has a powerful impact on a person’s life, and we will work together to highlight what matters most to you and to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs. Creating a therapeutic space where change is possible is also critically important to me. People are more likely to make changes in a setting where they feel valued and respected and where their backgrounds, experiences, and opinions matter; and empathy underlies the entire process. The therapy setting is a unique one, unlike almost any other relationship, where we will focus on both addressing your challenges and harnessing your strengths. Overall, my aim is to create a space where you feel respected, supported and empowered to reach your goals.
